Commercial history

A path of growth and trust with our customers.

In early 2004, with support from the Promundo Humano programme, CACAONICA began its first commercial shipments with Ritter Sport — the first container marked the start of that relationship. In 2011, after weathering an internal crisis, the cooperative opened a market for direct export to ETHIQUABLE- France, still our main customer and a strategic commercial ally. In recent years other buyers have joined, including Silva Cacao- Belgium and Chocolate del Caribe – Costa Rica.

To meet our customers' demand, we have also consolidated exports with other cooperatives.

Choconica, 70% cacao chocolate, Cooperativa CACAONICA.

At CACAONICA we do more than grow excellent cacao: we turn it into Choconica, our own artisan chocolate, made with cacao from ecological farming in Waslala, Nicaragua — the capital of cacao.

Each piece is shaped by hand, from traditional bars to bonbons and decorative figures, reflecting the cooperative's commitment to quality, tradition and the work of our farming families.
